We've pioneered some ground-breaking technology over the last few years, from RDS "now playing" information - showing the current song on-air... To live outside broadcasts at our advertiser's business premises.
We have around 4000 songs in our music database - And these are scheduled by our Head of Music, along with all the adverts and jingles. We try to provide a varied mix of 70s and 80s hits, along with some excellent Lost Classics.
We even let you choose the music! On Lunchtime Requests, or via the Magic Eye which enables you to select a song from this website, and our computer schedules it for the presenter, which means there's no excuse for not hearing your favourite song!
As ever, with technology - It doesn't always work as we like,
so sometimes there are problems outside our control, like your text messages not arriving in the studio, or the e-mail's going to the wrong presenter!
